Research Systems

The core activity of the company has historically been the manufacturing of in-vitro pharmacological research setups, which constitute more than half of its operations. These setups are comprehensive systems designed for conducting in-vitro pharmacological experiments, with a focus on isolated perfusion experiments on various tissues such as the heart, muscle stripes, vessel rings, and neural tissues. Remarkably, these systems continue to be available nowadays. The success of our solutions can be attributed to three key factors:

1. Quality: Our products are known for their high quality, ensuring reliable performance and accurate results in pharmacological research.

2. Economical Pricing: Despite their advanced features and capabilities, our solutions are offered at economically reasonable prices, making them accessible to a wide range of customers and institutions.

3. After-Sales Customer Care: We prioritize customer satisfaction by providing excellent after-sales service and support. Our dedicated team ensures that customers receive assistance and guidance whenever needed, enhancing their overall experience with our products.

LS series Isolated Heart Perfusion Systems

Our heart perfusion systems make studying small animal hearts easy, reliable, and affordable. Whether you work with mice, rats, guinea pigs, or rabbits, we have solutions for every type of experiment—from simple cell studies to advanced whole-heart research.

Choose from our Classical or Compact Langendorff systems, Neely Working Heart setups, or Cardiomyocyte digestion tools. Our flexible, modular designs give you precise information on key heart functions, so you can get accurate results every time.

With our systems, you can explore heart physiology and test new drugs with confidence, gaining valuable insights into how the heart works.

IS Series Organ Bath System

Our classic organ bath is a trusted, well-established system used for decades to study isolated tissues. It provides a controlled environment where researchers can apply experimental compounds or electrical stimulation and accurately measure tissue contractility. Tissues are kept healthy in oxygenated solutions such as Krebs-Henseleit, Tyrode, or lactated Ringer.

This reliable setup is widely used in pharmacology and physiology research, especially for studying smooth muscle contractions in organs and tissues like the ileum, colon, vas deferens, trachea, bladder, corpus cavernosum, and blood vessels such as aortic rings or strips. Skeletal muscle studies can also be performed (requires stimulation), offering additional flexibility for specialized experiments.

Isolated Nerve Tissue Perfusion setup

MDE provides a reliable and multifunctional research tool for in-vitro nerve tissue experiments. Our in-vitro superfusion release setup enables the collection of the most sensitive neurotransmitters released from nerve tissues during electrical or chemical stimulation.

IS-25 Wire Myograph Nova

Based on the well-known Mulvany protocol, MDE’s Wire Myograph Nova lets you study microvessels (60μm–10mm) with precision and reliability. Our newly redesigned, modular system makes setup, operation, and maintenance easier than ever — while still delivering high-quality, reproducible results.

Wire Myographs are ideal for investigating vascular function, drug responses, and disease models. Study microvessels from key organs such as the brain, gut, or heart, and explore conditions like hypertension, diabetes, atherosclerosis, and endothelial dysfunction — all while testing experimental compounds and accurately assessing vessel reactivity.

CardioFish Gill Perfusion solution

Our updated CardioFish Gill Perfusion system represents one of the most unique developments from our company, offering the ability to record the electrocardiogram (ECG) of adult zebrafish with high precision. Its innovative design provides researchers with a reliable and versatile platform for studying cardiac function in this increasingly popular model organism.

CardioFish is an important tool in pharmacology, safety pharmacology, and toxicology, allowing assessment of drug effects on heart rhythm and cardiac conduction. It is also useful for investigating genetic models of heart disease, cardiovascular physiology, and environmental cardiotoxicity, providing accurate, reproducible ECG measurements in zebrafish for a range of research applications.

Isolated Liver or Kidney Perfusion System

The MDE isolated liver or kidney perfusion system gives researchers a versatile and precise way to study organ function and pharmacology. By allowing full control over the perfusate composition, it supports investigations into drug metabolism, organ responses, and psysiological processes with accuracy and reproducibility.

The organ sits horizontally in an evaporation chamber, rather than hanging unsupported or submerged in liquid. This prevents deformation of the vasculature from twisting or weight and avoids extra hydrostatic pressure, ensuring that intravascular pressure remains natural. The result is a more reliable and physiologically accurate model for studying liver or kidney function.

Amplifiers & stimulators

MDE provides a comprehensive solution for in vitro pharmacology/physiology experiments. To ensure the smooth operation of our systems, we offer reliable amplifiers for measuring force, pressure, temperature, and action potentials. All amplifiers are equipped with analog output and fixed-value calibration signals to enhance their flexibility for use with different DAQ systems. To broaden the range of scientific areas where our solution can be applied, we also offer reliable stimulator electronics to better serve our clients. While all electronics can be used standalone, we recommend consulting with us regarding the intended usage and desired setup to better support your goals.
