IS-25 Wire Myograph Nova
MDE’s Wire Myograph systems are designed to study small blood vessels under isometric conditions, with diameters from 60 μm to 10 mm – too small for conventional organ baths. Vessels are prepared as rings and threaded onto two stainless steel or tungsten wires, which are securely fastened to supports. One support connects to a micrometer for precise control of vessel tension, while the other attaches to a force transducer to measure force changes. Each sample sits in a small chamber filled with physiological salt solution (usually Krebs-Henseleit) at 37°C, keeping the vessel healthy and functional for several hours.
During experiments, vessel tension is maintained at a constant pretension, and the vessels are observed under isometric conditions. Compounds can be added directly to the chamber, and tension is continuously monitored. This setup allows researchers to assess vessel reactivity to different compounds and compare the responses and morphology of vessels from test groups, patients, or controls.
We are manufacturing myograph systems since 2004 and have numerous references especially from Central Eastern European region and the U.S.
Advantages of the MDE Wire Myograph Nova System:
- Based on the Original Mulvany Design: Our modernized wire myograph follows the original Mulvany setup, using water-circulation heating to maintain stable temperatures. This approach provides excellent heat stability, chamber accuracy, and reduced electrical noise.
- High-Sensitivity Force Measurement: The system features high amplification (×10,000) and rigid force transducers, allowing precise measurement of vessel tension while maintaining long-term stability and durability.
- Easy Calibration: Each system includes a dedicated calibration kit as part of the base setup, making calibration quick, accurate, and repeatable.
- Flexible Data Acquisition: Compatible with most leading data acquisition systems (DAQ) such as iWorx and Powerlab. Other compatibilities possible – contact us for more information.
- Multi-Chamber Capability: Multi-chamber configurations allow researchers to measure the contractility of several vessel samples at the same time, improving experimental efficiency and enabling direct comparisons between tissues.
With a simple, reliable design, MDE Wire Myograph systems are well suited for both physiological and pharmacological studies. All components are manufactured using non-toxic materials, ensuring safe and dependable operation in the laboratory.
